Princeton’s 2023 Parks and Library Bond

In November 2023, Princeton voters approved a $109.1 million bond program to expand the parks, recreation, and library spaces available to a growing community. The program includes $108.1 million for parks and recreation projects and $1 million for improvements to the Lois Nelson Public Library.

The bond is bringing improvements to familiar places while creating new ways for residents to gather and stay active. At J.M. Caldwell Sr. Community Park, the City is advancing work in multiple phases, including upgraded athletic fields, lighting, and other park amenities. 

​

A major part of the program is the planned Princeton Aquatic and Recreation Center, or PARC. Designed for residents of different ages and interests, it is expected to offer fitness, sports, aquatics, youth, and senior spaces. The library expansion will provide more room for programs, reading, study, and technology. These projects remain in various stages of design and development, with details and timelines subject to change as work progresses.

Together, the bond projects represent a long-term investment in places where Princeton residents can play, learn, connect, and spend time with one another.

Additional Park Projects:

Although not funded as by the 2023 Parks Bond, the City is also making improvements to J.J. "Book" Memorial Park, which include a skate park, play areas, and sport courts.
